  • Over thirty years of experience in private practice and government with particular emphasis on environmental compliance, enforcement defense and transactional issues.
  • Demonstrates ability to offer successful solutions in the fields of solid and hazardous waste, submerged lands, air and water pollution. Other areas of practice include waterfront industry and waterfront development.
  • Particular experience in environmental due diligence, Brownfields and contaminated properties.
  • Significant permitting experience involving solid waste management facilities and dredge and fill projects.  
  • Represents clients before all state courts in Florida, the Middle and Southern Federal Districts in Florida, and the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.  His recent trial experience includes NEPA defense in Federal Courts representing a state agency.

 Prior Professional Experience

  • Prior to joining Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., Mr. Richardson was the head of the Florida environmental practice for a 600-attorney international law firm.
  • Environmental Bankers Association, General Counsel, 1995-present.
  • Assistant District Counsel to the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and Deputy General Counsel to the City of Jacksonville.
  • Has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Florida.
