LLW Announces New Shareholders of the Firm

December 2009 Lewis, Longman, & Walker, P.A., is pleased to announce that Maggie D. Mooney-Portale and M. Christopher Lyon have been elected as Shareholders of the firm. Ms. Mooney-Portale’s practice focuses on environmental, governmental, special taxing districts, administrative law, and litigation. Ms. Mooney-Portale’s serves as general and special counsel for several local government clients and provides legal counsel on issues including taxation and assessments, Florida Constitutional law, Ethics laws, Public Records Act, the Government in the Sunshine Law, annexation issues, interlocal agreements, and public procurement. Ms. Mooney-Portale is a member of the 12th Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, the Manatee County Bar, the Sarasota County Bar, and the Manatee Propeller Club. She is the past President of the Manatee County Young Lawyers, a graduate of Leadership Manatee, and is the current President of Legal Aid of Manasota, Inc. Most recently, Ms. Mooney-Portale was named one of Biz941 Magazine’s “Top 25 People to Watch.” Mr. Lyon’s practice is primarily focused on representing clients before the Florida Legislature, Governor and Cabinet, and agency personnel. He currently represents approximately 20 clients including statewide associations, corporate clients, and local government entities. Mr. Lyon’s practice also includes the representation of professionals in licensure and disciplinary matters before various professional boards and the representation of homeowners and condominium owners associations. |
