Prior Professional Experience
- Water resources and water rights law, environmental law and litigation where he has represented and counseled private and governmental clients in water resources and rights, NPDES, Clean Water Act, dredge and fill permitting for development projects including docks affecting wetlands and sea grasses, CERCLA, Superfund, RCRA, underground storage tanks, petroleum and chemical spills, safe drinking water in the workplace, and land use issues. Mr. Fiveash has represented clients in Federal (civil and criminal cases) and State courts, as well as in cases against the Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
- The successful defense of a landfill director in a major Clean Water Act criminal prosecution case which included a Federal jury trial.
- His special interests involve water resources development projects, investments, water management, water conservation planning and sustainability. Also in obtaining and protecting water rights and resources, and the trading or beneficial transfer of water resources, water quality credits and water rights.
