West Palm Beach, Fla., August 20, 2015 – Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A. Shareholder Julia L. Jennison was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County.

The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the community by promoting and achieving literacy. In Palm Beach County 1 in 7 adults lacks basic literacy skills. Through extensive outreach and collaboration with a network of community partners, the Literacy Coalition strives to ensure that individuals who need to improve their literacy skills receive the help they need. Ms. Jennison’s practice focuses on environmental, land use, water resources, sustainability and real estate law. She works with clients on state and federal environmental resource permitting, state consumptive use permitting, mitigation banking and endangered species matters. Specifically, she represents clients before local, state and federal agencies on wetland and water supply permitting and land use and zoning. She represents clients on federal and state rule-making and legislative issues involving wetlands, water resource development, water quality, and water supply. She also represents clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence and the environmental aspects of real estate transactions and is actively involved in the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. Ms. Jennison has also assisted in strategy development and securing over $3.8 Million in grant funding for green & sustainable projects and programs.
