When litigation is necessary, we won’t hesitate to take it to court. But we don’t think that escalating the emotion helps anyone. We see things differently. We don’t think that expanding the issue serves our clients or the law. We focus on getting to resolution. Our attorneys have extensive experience before all levels of state and federal trial courts and administrative tribunals. Representation often involves challenges to or defense of environmental permits, land use and zoning decisions as well as licensing, state procurement and purchasing matters. Our team also handles commercial litigation. This includes construction contracts and non-compete agreements, as well as contract, foreclosure and real estate disputes.
We also have extensive experience in state and federal appellate courts including federal Courts of Appeals around the country and the United States Supreme Court.
While we’ll litigate when necessary, we recognize opportunities to resolve client disputes through arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Many of us serve as mediators in complex litigation matters. Several of our attorneys are certified mediators, and have served as special masters on local government enforcement matters.
