Great ideas are often developed in response to great challenges. Ideas have power and they also have value. Today, a great idea can be worth a lot of money. This is intellectual property. For example, a new technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions or a new idea for passive treatment of stormwater can benefit the designer, but could also benefit others. The inventor should be compensated for the use of their idea or design, but that happens only when steps are taken to protect your great idea. It’s much harder to protect your great idea from theft than it is to protect your other property. You’ve seen things differently and we see it as our job to protect your value.
