Two Lewis, Longman & Walker Attorneys Selected for Leadership Positions with the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar

West Palm Beach, Fla., June 3, 2014 – Two attorneys from the law firm of Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., were recently selected to various leadership positions of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of the Florida Bar.

Brenda B. Ezell has been re-appointed to the Section’s Executive Council and named Co-Chair of the Fellowship Program Committee and Co-Vice Chair of the Landlord Tenant Committee, and Julia L. Jennison has been named a Fellow of the Section of the 2014-2016 term.

The purpose of the RPPTL section of the Florida Bar is to provide persons with an interest in real property, probate or trust law an outlet to assist the public generally, develop and maintain professional relationships between lawyers and other related groups and to accomplish legislative objectives that improve the administration of the real property, probate and trust laws.

The Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Fellowship Program allows individuals to work closely with leading lawyers in the field, receive leadership training, and be substantially involved in Section work.  Fellows are required to attend Executive Council meetings, serve as an active member of the Membership and Inclusion Committee, one additional substantive committee, and complete two substantive work projects on the behalf of  a committee.

Ms. Ezell has experience as counsel to buyers and sellers, developers, lenders, borrowers, and agencies at all levels of government in various types of commercial real estate transactions. Her main practice areas include commercial transactions such as purchase and sale, leasing, lending and title insurance as well as regulatory matters, land development, easements and servitudes, covenants and restrictions, and corporate and business association law.  She can be reached at bezell@llw-law.com or at (904) 353-6410.

Ms. Jennison’s practice focuses on environmental permitting, land use, water resources, sustainability, and real estate law. She also works with clients on purchase and sale of real property including contract negotiations, title insurance,  and closings, and represents individuals, associations, and utilities on real property-related disputes.  She can be reached at jjennison@llw-law.com or at (561) 640-0820.
