Mr. Aschauer has extensive experience representing clients on matters related to litigation and environmental regulation. Prior to joining LLW in 2017, Fred served as General Counsel for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), and prior to that as FDEP’s Director of the Division of Water Resource Management. Since joining LLW, Fred has focused his practice on the litigation of complex Federal and administrative environmental permit challenges, environmental permitting, defending clients in enforcement actions brought by environmental regulatory agencies, and the legal issues associated with the remediation of contaminated property. Mr. Aschauer serves as Chair of LLW’s Transportation and Infrastructure Practice Group and as Co-Chair of the Administrative, Civil and Appellate Litigation Practice Group.
