What if I have a listed, threatened or endangered species on my property?
Video Transcript
Many properties in Florida, you find that there’s habitat on your property that is conducive for a listed species and sometimes, you can find that you have listed, threatened or endangered species living on your property. That engages a whole other layer of approvals, especially if there are wetlands on your property. If wetland impacts are needed, that permitting triggers a process with the federal Fish and Wildlife Service and the state Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Both agencies have jurisdiction over species and their habitat.
