Any activity that results in a reduction of discharges, for instance, to nitrogen or phosphorous, is eligible for potentially generating water quality credits. In Florida, the way we see that is most often through upgrades to waste water treatment plants, changes in operations or protocols at agricultural operations, new drainage facilities and other projects that have an environmental benefit beyond the regulatory requirements already imposed on that person or entity, that would generate a credit.
