What is density?
Video Transcript
Density is the mechanism that controls not just what you can build on a property, but how many residential units you can place there. It's what defines the separationbetween a single-family home, where you might have just one resident per, say, a quarter acre to a town home development, where you might have several units per acre, to a high-rise, where you could have dozens of units per acre. That measurement, number of units per acre, is the density measurement used to determine how many residences you can put on one piece of property.
