Purpose: The Department is proposing to amend the definition of “Eligible” and “Vulnerable” to clarify that in order to qualify for coastal armoring, the eligible private structure to be protected must be located wholly or partially seaward of the applicable Coastal Construction Control Line and Fifty-foot Setback line, and to clarify the models used by the Department to establish vulnerability.

Subject: The CFWI is a collaborative effort among government agencies formed to address water resource issues in the area known as the Central Florida Water Initiative. Pursuant to section 373.709(1), Florida Statutes, the public workshops are meetings to communicate the status, overall conceptual intent, and impacts of the Regional Water Supply Plan on existing and future reasonable-beneficial uses and related natural systems.
